St. Olaf Web Templates
What are Dreamweaver templates?
A template is a document that you can use as a foundation for
other documents. When you create templates in Dreamweaver, you can
indicate which elements of a page should remain constant (non-editable)
and which elements can be changed (editable). For example, the non-editable
(locked) regions of the St. Olaf templates include the header, the
left-hand navigation and the footer.
Six different templates have been developed to use in any combination for your web site. In addition, The templates are to be used with Macromedia's Dreamweaver, a "WYSIWYG" (What You See Is What You Get) web design application. While they will also work with other web design applications (e.g., Netscape Composer), not all of the features will be as easily accessible.

Template Options
Each template is 754 pixels wide and will fit comfortably within
most browsers and screen resolutions. The width of the navigation
column and white space on the left totals 160 pixels; the remaining
594 pixels are divided into several different orientations.
The descriptions to the right of each template are only suggestions; use the templates in any combination with your text and photos to create a unique web site. The width of each column is given below so that you will know the maximum size of an image that will fit into that column.
