Spring Initiation
Every spring the Delta of Minnesota initiates a group of outstanding St. Olaf students who are finishing their senior year. Alumni and honorary members may also be initiated at this time.
The 2009 spring initiation and banquet is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 17 in the Valhalla Room of the King's Dining Room in Buntrock Commons. The initiation ceremony began at 6:00 pm and the banquet at 6:45 pm. Afterwards, there was be a dessert reception for initiates at the President's House at 8:00 pm.

As the chapter president, Mary A. Cisar, Associate Professor of French, welcomed 73 new members in course (Class of 2000). Also initiated at this time were two alumni members, A. Malcolm Gimse, Professor of Art (shown at left), and Mary S. Carlsen, Associate Professor of Social Work (shown at right). |

Odd S. Lovoll, Professor of Norwegian & History (pictured below),
was initiated into the Delta of Minnesota as an honorary member.
