Campus Life

Believe it or not, a St. Olaf education isn't only about academics and study abroad. It's about being part of an ambitious, athletic, artistic, and active community.

What's your interest? There are 3,000 students here. One of them, or a hundred of them, is bound to share your passion. There are dozens of intercollegiate and intramural sports – from broomball to volleyball – so you can compete at any level. (Sometimes the “competition” is only about who can have the most fun….) There are music ensembles for every player, from a world-renowned choir (really!), to student bands rehearsing at 2:00 a.m. in the Lion's Pause. There are student organizations for almost every interest and activity. If you can't find one that meets your needs, you can start your own.

The best part is that it all happens right here. Living on campus means being around for anything and everything, meeting your friends for meals, never missing out on the spontaneous fun. (Of course, when cabin fever strikes, the restaurants, clubs and cultural life of Minneapolis-St. Paul is only about 45 minutes away.)

A St. Olaf education is about belonging to a community. Check out the links below to learn more.
