Student Organizations
"I became involved with the Messenger to hone my journalistic skills. Working at a newspaper guarantees that one is consistently operating in a high-octane environment. As executive editor, I also got to oversee every aspect of the paper, from its original layout to its trip to the presses."
- Molly Bayrd '05, Rochester, Minn.
You'll study a lot at college, but we also encourage you to explore everything else the college has to offer. From music groups and political organizations to the student newspaper and volunteer groups, there are lots of organizations with students who are interested in the same things you are.
Here are just a few student organizations on campus you may consider joining:
- Quiz Bowl
- St. Olaf Crew Club
- Habitat for Humanity
- St. Olaf Yoga Club
- Anime Society
Commitment to a group may require as little as a few hours per year to many hours a week — you can choose the level of your involvement.
