Directions to Campus

St. Olaf is located in Northfield, Minnesota, approximately 35 miles south of the Twin Cities.

By Air

For those flying into the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, we will be happy to help you make arrangements for transportation to and from the campus between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Please let us know your travel plans at least two weeks in advance of your trip. If not renting a car, we recommend taking the Caretenders van to and from the airport. Check out the Caretenders website for more information.

By car

From I-35

From Hwy. 77 (Cedar Avenue/CR23)

From US-52 (from the north or south)

By train

The nearest Amtrak station is midway between Minneapolis and St. Paul. Because most trains arrive very late at night or very early in the morning, we suggest that you stay overnight at a hotel or motel near the station and come to campus the following day.

Parking

Please allow yourself additional driving time to visit and park at the St. Olaf College campus. Due to construction of our new Science Center, as well as some road construction in downtown Northfield, you may encounter some delays. You will find parking opportunities north of the Buntrock Commons, near the Skoglund and Tostrud Athletic Centers, and in various other smaller lots around campus.
