    MA American History, Indiana University, JD-New York University Law School, MS Protection Management City, University of NY, Chief Fire Officer, US Fire Academy (4 year program)
  2. What is your current occupation?
    New York City Fire Officer (retired), artist (printmaking)
  3. What was your major and how has that played out into your life today?
    Majored in history; I continue to work on oral history projects. I am active in the NY Labor History Association.
  4. Tell us your favorite Ole memory.
    There are so many. As a student it was both studies and fun. Newberry Library Seminars, many professors, and working in the archives. As an alum, delivering the 2002 Commencement address at St. Olaf.
  5. What is your favorite alumni event?
    Reunions
  6. What do you consider your greatest achievement that St. Olaf has played a part in?
    Becoming a New York City Firefighter.
  7. Why do you support St. Olaf College?
    I am enormously grateful for the friendships and support I received as a student.
  8. What do you hope to accomplish on the Alumni Board?
    Improve St. Olaf’s outreach in the NYC area.
  9. Any advice you have for current students?
    Use your St. Olaf experience to serve others (including your college).
