  1. Please list your education beyond your St. Olaf degree?
    I haven taken many classes from learning native plants to computer work.
  2. What is your current occupation?
    Retired and busy with volunteer activities
  3. What was your major and how has that played out into your life today?
    Biology. I have spent my working years in a research lab, and I now work with our nearby native prairie.
  4. Tell us your favorite Ole memory.
    My husband-to-be, a student from Norway, climbed the WCAL tower to replace the bulb for $15.00 (1947). We went out to dinner afterwards.
  5. What is your favorite alumni event?
    Just getting back to “the hill” whenever I’m in Minnesota.
  6. What do you consider your greatest achievement that St. Olaf has played a part in?
    I feel so fortunate to connect and reconnect with Oles and share time with them.
  7. Why do you support St. Olaf College?
    I believe in the values and goals of the college and hope that today’s students will “go forth and serve.”
  8. What do you hope to accomplish on the Alumni Board?
    We have many alumni in the Chicago area, and I hope to reach out with attractive programs and unite these alums.
  9. Any advice you have for current students?
    Acquire good communication skills. One must be able to express ideas, written and oral, clearly and exactly.
  10. Is there any personal information you would like to add?
    I attended St. Olaf from 1945-1949 just after WWII. The college began to change from its almost rigid format to take its place in the future.
