    M.A. in Philanthropy and Development, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota 1999
  2. What is your current occupation?
    Development Officer at Carleton College
  3. What was your major and how has that played out into your life today?
    Political Science/Religion…taught me to think beyond myself and to be intellectually curious.
  4. Tell us your favorite Ole memory.
    April 26, 1994 when I had my first “date” at a recital in Urness with my now wife, Anna Lisa (Hembre) Rustad ’96.
  5. What is your favorite alumni event?
    Any time that I am lucky enough to be with my best Ole friends, that is my favorite alumni event. Official event: Christmas Festival.
  6. What do you consider your greatest achievement that St. Olaf has played a part in?
    St. Olaf taught me to love the liberal arts and my career involves advancing the liberal arts.
  7. Why do you support St. Olaf College?
    Because it made me “me” and because others supported me when I attended.
  8. What do you hope to accomplish on the Alumni Board?
    Helping St. Olaf achieve success in Partners in Annual Giving.
  9. Any advice you have for current students?
    Sit in front and ask a lot of questions.
  10. Is there any personal information you would like to add?
    I live in Northfield with my wife Anna Lisa ’96, son Haakon (5) and daughter Ingrid (2). Enjoy music, travel, and spending time with my family.
