Unseeded semifinalist Rick Frondorf of Delaware Valley on his preparation for this season:
"Honestly, I was a little bit nervous about this match because when I came into DV second semester, I hadn't wrestled for about a year and a half, so getting in shape was the biggest key. My game plan was to stay in position and counter what he had, and it worked for me."
Simpson College's #1 seed Clint Manny on his defeat of David Icenhower to move to the semis:
"Awesome competition and I have to wrestle up to it. I wrestled him before and got beat at the National Duals; major confidence builder to beat a kid that I got beat by before."
Luther's Matt Pyle on his National Tournament mindset and team success:
"It went good tonight. I've never seen the York kid before, but every match we just go out there like it's the national championship match. Our team is looking good too."

#4 Seed Rick Lamas after his 10-9 defeat of Brockport's Shaheim Bradshaw:
"I'm pretty happy about tonight, about the way I've been wrestling. I separated my shoulder at regionals; I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to wrestle at this tournament but I recouperated...Tomorrow I'm looking forward to wrestling LeVesseur, the best guy in the country, so that will be a good test to see where I am at right now."

Unseeded Dustin Winn of Oneonta on his advancement to the semifinal round:
"Well, it's nice to be an All-American finally my senior year; it's a big confidence booster. It's another match; seedings don't mean anything out here."

#1 Seed Garrett South of Luther College regarding tournament competition:
"There aren't any matches that are easy out here. I'm looking forward to wrestling the best matches of my life; in the last two matches of my life."

Augsburg's #1 seed Joe Moon commenting on his team's success:
"We're still working for the same team goals."

#7 seed Josh Chelf of UW LaCrosse on his quarterfinal match win and his team:
"I just wanted to get it done; I didn't want to wrestle another match tonight, so being an overtime match, I thought I 'd better step it up one more notch. I think tomorrow I'll just go out there the way I have been going out there already. Our goal (as a team) going out
there was to win it, so it takes everyone winning matches."

Wartburg's #1 seed Akeem Carter, who advanced to the semis commenting on the stiff competition :
"I feel a lot of guys are going to be aggressive, so I want to be aggressive myself and bring it to them. So, that was my plan the whole day -- a pretty good day. I'm expecting tomorrow that guys will be aggressive; in NCAA nationals, I expect it to be a war, and I want to bring the war."

Unseeded Matt Loesch of Muhlenberg comments on his defeat of former national champion Nick Vinciguerra and his advancement to the seminfinals:
"Beating Vinciquerra in the first round was all I had in my head; he is pretty good, national champion, sophomore year. That really gave me some confidence when you beat an opponent you really respect. I'm as happy as I can ask for. I don't know if I was expected to do this. Win or lose tomorrow, either way, I've represented my school and it's all bonus."
285
Heavyweight Ryan Allen, #1 seed from UW LaCrosse, on team strategy:
"I feel great. Our team's doing well; scoring some points. Right now everybody's taking one match at a time and that's what you have to do at this level. I want to score as many points as I can for my team. These guys have been working their butts off all year and you just got to let everything go here, this is their whole season right here. There's pressure, but I love it."
Wartburg's #2 seed Blake Gillis on his defeat of UW Stevens Point's Mike Hayes that sent Gillis to the semis:
"I wrestled him earlier in the year and he gave me a go then, too. I'm happy I won, but not happy about my performance. Hopefully, tomorrow, I don't hang out too long and have another barnburner like tonight."
