#2 Seed Tom Prairie, the first wrestler from Williams College to ever make it to the finals:
"I just got to stay focused...stay focused on the match. Don't look past anyone just look to the next match."

Augsburg's #1 seed Matt Shankey who controlled his semifinal match winning 5-1:
"That's the fith time I've wrestled him in the last two years. I felt real good and my shots were on."

133
Tony Ambra, #7 seed from Brockport, on his defeat of Lycoming's Sean Cullen:
"I hustled on my feet so I could get into the finals tonight."
Mark Matzek, #1 seed from Augsburg, on his close decision against Jestin Hulegaard of Buena Vista:
"He took a shot and came up and I sprawled, got hit on the top of the hit; I'm going to get a couple stiches now. I felt that was my best match of the tournment; I was overanalyzing myself the first two matches, thinking to much. The game plan for this match was 'don't worry about it; just go wrestle."
141
Dustin Hinschberger, #1 seed from Wartburg, looking toward his championship match tonight:
"I was a little slow on my feet and Ineed to get a little more active in the championship match tonight. I've wrestled and beaten both of these guys before, but I'm ready to finish with a title tonight."
Augsburg's #2 seed Jamell Tidwell on his semifinal match against Luther's Jeff Patzke:
"This is my third time facing him (Patzke from Luther). He's from Apple Valley and he always wrestles hard, so I knew it was going to be a battle. I didn't wrestle that well, but a W is a W in the national tournament and that's what I do -- one match at a time."
149
Matt Pyle, Luther, 149, after his semifinal win over #3 Jason Rousch:
"I didn't do as good as I wanted to today, but I was able to come through and help our team. Our team's doing really good, so I'm excited about that, and I'm looking forward to tonight."
Clint Manny, Simpson after his semifinal win over Delaware Valley's unseeded Rick Frondorf:
"I knew he was strong and it was going to come down to a defensive match. I thought if I could get my points I could hold him off. It was an ugly match, but a win's a win, especially at the national tournament. I'm anxious for the final match and hopefully the outcome is going to be different this year because I'm tired of second place."

Ryan Lebeaux, Luther after tying his semifinal match 5-5 in the last seconds to send to
overtime, where he won 7-5 over unseeded Dustin Winn of Oneota:

"The match today ... I'm glad to get that one out of the way and head into the finals tonight! It's exciting; we talked about how we came in together as freshmen and we stuck together, and now we have a good chance to take it all home together our senior year. It's a great feeling!"
Marcus LeVesseur, Augsburg, after his pin of #4 Rick Lamas 2:30 into their semifinal bout:
"Actually, last night, I had a real tough match against a guy from LaCrosse. All you can do in this sport is refocus after real close matches. I told myself I had to refocus and win, and after I got out of the shower I was refocused and I was a new man. Now for tonight, I'm pumped. From my very first win in college I've been taking it one match at a time and tonight is the last match of the season...one match at a time!"

Ryan Valek, Augsburg, after his come-from-behind semifinal win:
"I mean, this is just awesome; making it to the finals is great, but it means nothing if I don't win this next match. The team is doing great, I can't believe it. Ten all- Americans already; seven potential in the finals and I guess I'm the fifth one already; so I think we're going to set some records this year."
Garrett South, Luther, after his 7-3 decision over UW-Eau Claire's #4 David Sikora:
"I feel good about tonight. I don't think I could have a better matchup tonight than against the Augsburg kid. I do better against taller guys and he's taller, so I'm looking to this as an advantage for me. I don't know if our team has a chance against Augsburg, but it would be outstanding to do better than Wartburg and knock them off for second in the national championships."
174
Joe Moon, Augsburg, after leading the entire bout in a 7-4 semifinal win over unseeded Tony Howard:
"I feel really good; my body's feeling good, and we're wrestling really well. And it was so good to see Valek make it to the finals."
Chris Healy #3, Wabash, who advanced to the Saturday's final:
"I feel real good; I've been wrestling real well all weekend. I feel fair."

Akeem Carter #1, Wartburg, 197, after a semifinal win over fourth-seeded Will Weiss:
"It was good; I just need a little bit of rest" Preparation "Expect the best. I know he's going to go out there hard; therefore that forces me to go hard so that's my whole motive. If he's gonna bring it; I'm gonna bring it."
Jamall Johnson #3, Delaware Valley; Feelings about tonight:
"Pretty good. It's going to be a tough opponant but it should be a good match."
285
Blake Gillis #2, Wartburg; thoughts coming into match:
"I beat him all year this year so I felt pretty good coming into it." how feels about wrestling Ryan Allen "He had my number last year; hopefully things gonna change this year. I gotta good game plan for him I hope so hopefully things are gonna turn out a little better."
Ryan Allen #1, UW LaCrossel; Feelings about the match:
"Not to take away from the other guy; he was really playing a lot of defense. I
couldn't get all my offense going on but I got a couple of takedowns right away; he didn't come close to scoring. So, you gotta do what you gotta do to win at this point." Looking forward to match and competition with Wartburg "Well I wrestled him last year in the finals and he's going to be pumped up and ready to go but I'm gonna be right there ready to bang with him and get the W so I'm ready to go."
