TUESDAY, SEP 17, 2013 - NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Jacob Olsen, a 2006 graduate of St. Olaf, was named head coach of the Ole men's and women's alpine ski programs on Tuesday, athletic director Matt McDonald announced.

THURSDAY, FEB 21, 2013 - MARQUETTE, Mich. - The St. Olaf men's alpine ski team took first at the USCSA Regional Championships and earned a trip to the USCSA National Championships led by Haakon Schonheyder's first place finish in the giant slalom at Marquette Mountain this past weekend.
Oles win USCSA Divisional Championships
TUESDAY, FEB 12, 2013 - AFTON, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's alpine ski team won the USCSA Divisional Championships this past weekend, with champions in both events. Sophomore Haakon Schonheyder took first in the slalom event and senior Nate Hansen won the giant slalom at the Afton Alps ski area.

THURSDAY, FEB 7, 2013 - NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's alpine ski team was ranked second in the most recent edition of the national rankings. After finishing third in the nation last year, St. Olaf ranks only behind Rocky Mountain College's skiers.
St. Olaf races well in California and Colorado
TUESDAY, FEB 5, 2013 - SUGAR BOWL, Calif. - The Oles' alpine ski team competed in California and Colorado over interim break among some of the toughest competition they've faced this year. Haakon Schonheyder had the highest placing on the St. Olaf team with a fourth place finish in California.
Oles compete at Spirit Mountain Mid-Am
SUNDAY, JAN 27, 2013 - DULUTH, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's alpine ski team competed in the Spirit Mountain Mid-Am from Jan 25-27 against some of the top competition in the country, as well as racers from seven different countries in Duluth, Minnesota. Nate Hansen placed each day of the event, and Haakon Schonheyder was the highest placing Ole with an eighth place finish.
