Mark Downey is in his eighth season as an assistant coach at St. Olaf in 2012-13. The stint at St. Olaf is the second for Downey, who was head baseball coach at Mounds View High School from 2007-10.
Downey works with the the program's travel, day-to-day operations and recruiting as well as his on-field responsibility with catchers and team defense.
An Edina native, Downey graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a degree in physical education and coaching. Mark and wife Marguerite reside in Apple Valley and have two children, Erin and Joe.
