Matt Karnas is entering his fourth year as assistant baseball coach at St. Olaf in 2011. Karnas will primarily be working with pitchers while also serving as the Recruiting Coordinator. Karnas, a Richfield native, graduated from St. Olaf in 2003 with a degree in Mathematics and Economics. He played on the 2001, 2002 MIAC championship teams and was a co-captain of the 2003 MIAC Playoff Championship team. Prior to coming back to St. Olaf in 2008, Karnas coached at Augsburg College in 2007. In 2007 and 2008 Karnas coached the Richfield American Legion team, compiling a 60- 24 record over the two years and coaching the team to both the Gopher Classic championship and a State Tournament berth in 2008. Karnas lives in Richfield with his wife Sarah.
