Grimsrud enters her first season of coaching at St. Olaf in 2007-08. She is a 2007 graduate of St. Olaf, where she played for the women's basketball team for four years. During her career, Grimsrud started at off-guard in all but eight games and was named to the MIAC All-Sportsmanship team during her senior season. She closed out her career as the sixth all-time leading scorer at St. Olaf.
At St. Olaf, Grimsrud earned her degree in Studio Art and Education. Presently, she is in her first year of teaching in Shakopee, Minn., where she teaches K-5 art. She also is a working artist and specializes in portraiture.
Grimsrud's passion for basketball is rooted in her upbringing. A native of Zumbrota, Minn., she had early influence in art and basketball from her father, Dave (St. Olaf '62), a retired art teacher and newspaperman. Dave and her mother, Deb, reside in Zumbrota. Each of Holly's brothers, Matt and Andy, played basketball at St. Olaf.
