head coach CHRIS MEIDT
on FAITH, FAMILY and FOOTBALL
"As the head football coach at St. Olaf College, I believe we have the distinct opportunity to bring academic excellence, athletic achievement, and spiritual growth together in a world-class way. As a football program and as an athletic department, we are committed to the passionate pursuit of excellence within a Christian environment.
We strive to integrate the concept of discipline and toughness into preparation for both work in the classroom as well as on the field. We believe this concept goes hand-in-hand with the development of character and integrity in helping a young adult develop into a well-rounded man. Our football program goal is that the coaching staff, players, and support staff all learn to live a life based around a spiritual core and balanced between academic pursuits, athletic goals, and deeper relationships.
The three F's we talk about daily are Faith, Family, and Football. I strive to make decisions based on my faith, my relationship with my wife and children, and my commitment to making the big time happen every day in the football program at St. Olaf College."
