A 32-year Minnesota high school coaching legend, Gerhard Meidt lends his knowledge to the special teams. Gerhard worked with the offensive line for his first two seasons as a St. Olaf assistant. Meidt, inducted to the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1999, led his Minneota High School team to a state record 48 straight wins and four state titles. His 239-79 career record boasts a .749 winning percentage. Meidt also coached at Big Lake High School and was the defensive backs coach at Bethel before joining his son's staff in 2002. Gerhard and his wife Karen live in Northfield.
