2002-2004: Offensive line coach at Concordia University. Finished as recruiting coordinator for Concordia University.

2007: Sring assistant football coach at St. Olaf College.
2007: Defensive line coach at Concordia University in St. Paul.

Roger Velasquez is in his first season as an assistant coach at St. Olaf in 2012.

In 1995, as Offensive Coordinator for Augsburg College, Velasquez guided the team to their first winning season in 21 years. Along with two Suburban Conference titles, Velasquez has an NSIC Conference title and has helped two Concordia University squads to two Mineral Water Bowl appearances. As Coordinator Velasquez had two NCAA record holding receivers in Scott Hvistendahl (Augsburg College) and Daniel Passafiume (Hanover College). Roger received both his graduate and undergraduate degrees from Concordia St. Paul.

Coach Velasquez lives in Saint Paul with his wife Julie and son Matthew who is in his final year at Concordia University.
