Luke Benoit, a three-time NCAA Division III All-America golfer at Gustavus, is in his fourth season as head women's golf coach at St. Olaf.
Benoit was named Gustavus' Male Athlete of the Year after finishing second at the NCAA Division III Championships in 2004.
A PGA teaching professional in the summer, Benoit has experience playing in tournaments on the Dakota, Hooters, and Nationwide Tours. He continues to play competitively in local tournaments. He is also certified golf fitness professional (Titleist Performance Institute).
In the summer, Benoit works at Cleary Lake Golf course in Prior Lake, MN providing instruction to juniors and adults. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Education at the University of Minnesota in kinesiology.
Under Benoit, the Ole's have improved their team scoring average each year. In 2007, the team finished 3rd in the MIAC championship.
