Steve DeBus is in his first season at St. Olaf. DeBus, an All-WCHA goalie at the University of Minnesota, also assists with the women's program and is involved with the day-to-day equipment and operations of the athletic department at St. Olaf.

DeBus played for the Golden Gophers from 1994 to 1998 and was a member of the 1995 WCHA Final Five cChampions and 1996 WCHA regular season champions. He was named an all-league goalie in 1997 while serving as captain.

He graduated with a degree in Natural Resources and American Indian Studies.

He went on to play professional hockey in the ECHL (Mobile) IHL (Houston; Grand Rapids), WPHL (New Mexico), UHL (Rockford) and CHL (Amarillo) from 1998 to 2003 and was named to the All-Star team in 2001 while with New Mexico.

Since 2004, DeBus has been a certified instructor with Stauber’s Goalcrease in Edina, Minn.

Steve, a native of Rochester, Minn., and his wife Dawn reside in Northfield with their son Henry and daughter Eloise.
