Gusties get Oles in volleyball

ST. PETER, Minn. - Gustavus Adolphus College had four in double digits for kills in a four-game volleyball win over St. Olaf on Wednesday.

Andrea Otteman had 16 kills and 24 digs for St. Olaf (6-9, 2-4 MIAC) in the loss.

Andrea Kron had 18 kills and Emily Klein had 28 digs for the Gusties (14-3, 6-0 MIAC), who have won eight in a row. Gustavus is in a first place tie with Concordia College-Moorhead.

Trailing 5-1 in game three, St. Olaf had a six-point run to gain momentum. The Oles then had to battle from a 24-19 deficit and won when Jessica Levin scored on an overpass at 32-31.

Gustavus took a 9-3 lead in game four and never turned back.

St. Olaf had 11 service errors, while Gustavus had just three.

St. Olaf plays at the Border Battle this weekend in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
