Volleyball Oles battle, fall to Concordia

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Fourth-ranked Concordia College-Moorhead rallied for a 31-29, 26-30, 30-23 and 30-23 volleyball win over St. Olaf, clinching at least a share of the MIAC's regular season title, on Saturday at Skoglund Center.

Becca Shane had 23 kills and hit .409 in the win for the Cobbers (20-1, 9-0 MIAC).

The Oles' (8-13, 2-6 MIAC) Andrea Otteman had 21 kills.

St. Olaf had a 29-28 lead in game one, but the Cobbers scored the games last three points for the win. In game four, the Oles led 6-1 and 15-13, but the Cobbers went on a 7-1 run and never looked back.

St. Olaf had three service errors in game four.

Audrey Volstad had 58 set assists while Chris Brook added 17 and Paige Olson 13 kills for the Oles, who have lost five of their last six conference matches.

St. Olaf plays at Saint Mary's on Wednesday before hosting St. Ben's on Friday.
