Knights use comeback wins to down volleyball Oles

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Carleton College erased eight and six-point deficits in each of the first two games of a 31-29, 30-27, 25-30 and 30-22 volleyball win over St. Olaf on Wednesday.

The Knights' win offset a 20-kill performance by the Oles' Andrea Otteman. The senior outside hitter is now 17 kills shy of 1,500 for her career.

St. Olaf (10-14, 4-7 MIAC) led game one 16-8 after Alyssa Williams served an 8-0 run midway through the game. Carleton (13-10, 7-4 MIAC), however, rallied for four of the game's last five points to win the game 31-29.

St. Olaf had a 16-10 lead in game two before Carleton went on a 10-0 run.

Christine Brook hit .405 with 18 kills for the Oles in the loss. Paige Olson chipped in ten kills and Audrey Volstad 38 set assists.

Danielle Hargreaves had 22 kills and 13 digs to pace the Knights, who had four in double digits for kills. Vannessa Brown added 14, Sarah Kunelius 13 and Samantha Hendricks 12.
