Oles get four-game win over St. Kate's

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Kim Smisek had 22 kills to lead the St. Olaf volleyball team to a four-game (30-28, 20-30, 30-25, 30-26) win over the College of St. Catherine on Saturday.

Jess Levin added 16 kills for the Oles (6-5, 1-2 MIAC), who picked up their first conference win of the year.

St. Olaf trailed 28-25 in game one, but rallied behind a pair of Paige Olson kills and one from Smisek to finish the game.

The Oles never trailed in games three or four but had to fend off the Wildcats (7-10, 0-3 MIAC), who tied game four at 26-26, 27-27 and 28-28.

Maria Hoffman had 17 kills for St. Kate's.

St. Olaf hosts the College of Saint Ben's on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
