Volleyball wins two in first day at NCC Tourney

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Kim Smisek had 20 and 21 kills as St. Olaf defeated North Park University and Wheaton College in the first two rounds of the Tiffany Robinson Memorial Tournament at North Central College.

Smisek and Jess Levin had 20 kills each in the four-game (23-30, 30-25, 30-13, 30-27) win over North Park. Levin hit .514 and Smisek .381.

Alyssa Williams added 29 digs and Kelly Prunty 48 set assists and five aces for the Oles.

Smisek's 21 kills were a match-high in the 30-28, 30-24, 32-30 over Wheaton, while Levin and Jane Meyer added ten.

St. Olaf finishes the two-day tournament tomorrow with an 11 a.m. match against host North Central and a 1 p.m. bout with Aurora.
