Volleyball skids in MIAC opener, falls to Mac 3-1

After winning game one, the St. Olaf Volleyball team lost three consecutive games to Macalester College, losing their 2004 MIAC opener 27-30 , 30-26 , 30-24 and 30-25 Wednesday night in St. Paul.

St. Olaf was led by Danica Finseth and Andrea Otteman who had 11 kills each in the match.

Macalester had four players in double digits for kills. Bethany Tate had 15, Maggie Buttermore 14, Lauren Eberhart 13 and Bonnie Driscoll 11.

Tremaine Versteeg had four service aces for St. Olaf.

Audrey Volstad had 35 set assists for the Oles and Briana Keefe-Oates 58 for the Scots.

St. Olaf hosts Gustavus on Wednesday, Sept. 22 in their home opener.
