Volleyball Oles get key win at No. 22 Concordia to run streak to 15

MOORHEAD, Minn. - The 23rd-ranked St. Olaf volleyball team defeated 22nd-ranked Concordia College-Moorhead in four sets on Wednesday night to extend its winning streak to 15.

Kim Smisek and Melissa Burch had 16 and 10 kills to lead the Oles (23-2, 7-1 MIAC), who stayed in a first place tie in the MIAC with three league matches left.

The Oles' 15-game winning streak is the longest since the 1996 team, which went the NCAA's semifinals, won 16 in a row.

Concordia was led by Katie Vohnoutka's 21 kills and 13 digs.

St. Olaf plays at the College of Saint Benedict (20-5, 6-1 MIAC) on Friday.
