ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - The 23rd-ranked St. Olaf volleyball team lost a three-set match at the 16th-ranked College of Saint Benedict on Friday, snapping the Oles' 15-match winning streak.

Kim Smisek had a team-high 16 kills to lead the Oles (23-3, 7-2 MIAC), who surrendered a 20-11 lead in the second set to the host Blazers.

The loss is the first since Sept. 19 and drops St. Olaf to a game back of first in the MIAC standings with two matches left.

Saint Ben's raced to a 10-3 lead in the first and won the set 25-17. The Blazers, down 20-11 in the second, rallied to score 10 of the next 11 points and eventually won 25-23.

St. Olaf (23-3, 7-2 MIAC) plays host to Saint Mary's University on Wednesday with a chance to lock up a MIAC playoffs berth and, at least, the third seed with a win.
