Volleyball rallies to upend SMU in four

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The 22nd-ranked St. Olaf volleyball team defeated Saint Mary's University in four sets (25-22, 25-20, 23-25, 28-26) behind Kim Smisek's 24 kills on Wednesday at Skoglund Center.

Kelly Prunty chipped in a season-best 60 set assists and Smisek hit .409 with 10 kills in the decisive fourth set to give the Oles the win and third seed in next week's MIAC playoffs.

Katie Wolfram added a season-best 14 kills in the victory, while Melissa Burch and Paige Olson had nine each.

Saint Mary's (20-8, 5-5 MIAC) had a team-best 14 kills from Sarah Gardner and 13 from Jessica Mate.

St. Olaf (24-3, 8-2 MIAC) finishes the regular season with a road match at rival Carleton on Saturday at 3 p.m.
