Volleyball gets to 4-0 with victories over Mac, Martin Luther

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf volleyball team cruised to three-set wins non-conference wins over Macalester and Martin Luther College on Friday to finish the St. Olaf Invitational 4-0.

St. Olaf def. Macalester 25-16, 25-18, 25-18
The 19th-ranked Oles got 15 kills from Kim Smisek and 10 from Ari Carlson. Kelly Prunty added 40 set assists.

Majra Mucic had seven kills to pace Macalester.

St. Olaf def. Martin Luther College 25-17, 25-9, 25-17
Smisek had 11 and Melissa Burch 10 kills and Kristin Boyum 11 digs as St. Olaf moved to 4-0.

St. Olaf is off until next weekend's tournament at Washington University-St. Louis. The Oles will square off with four ranked opponents at the event - No. 1 Wash U, No. 11 Wittenberg, No. 7 Carthage and No. 10 Ohio Northern.
