Women's soccer tops Luther 4-0

DECORAH, Iowa - Lindsay Howard scored twice and Elizabeth Huggins made seven saves as St. Olaf topped Luther College 4-0 in a non-conference women's soccer game on Wednesday night.
Howard scored on a penalty kick at the 24:48 mark of the first and added her second score in the 65th minute on an assist from Ellie Stiener, a goal that gave St. Olaf a 3-0 lead.
The Oles' second goal came from Emma Crumley on the first of two assists from Susie Jelinek. Jelinek fed Caitie Christoffel in the 67th minute for the game's final tally.
Huggins made six of her seven saves in the first half on the way to the shutout victory.
St. Olaf (1-1-0, 0-0-0 MIAC) plays twice in St. Louis, Mo., this weekend. The Oles play Webster on Saturday at 12 p.m. before meeting host Washington Univ.-St. Louis on Sunday at 1 p.m.
