Volleyball beats Hamline, UM-Morris

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - The No. 16 St. Olaf volleyball team swept matches from Hamline University (25-12, 25-12, 25-16) and UM-Morris (25-19 , 25-19 , 25-21) on Friday in the first two rounds of Saint Ben's Holiday Innvitational.
No. 16 St. Olaf def. Hamline 3-0
Kim Smisek had 14 kills and Kelly Prunty 40 set assists as St. Olaf topped the Pipers in straight sets. Ari Carlson added nine kills while Katie Henning and Katie Wolfram had eight each in the victory.
St. Olaf made only seven errors and hit .444. Hamline was led by Aisha Baker, who had six kills and no errors.
No. 16 St. Olaf def. UM-Morris 3-0
Smisek had 21 kills and Melissa Burch 10 as St. Olaf finished the evening 2-0. Smisek made only five errors in 36 attempts to hit .444.
Stephanie Schmiesing had 12 and Allie Humphrey had nine kills to lead UM-Morris.
