St. Olaf volleyball tops Augsburg College 3-2

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Kim Smisek had 18 kills and 17 digs as No. 12 St. Olaf beat Augsburg College 25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 11-25 and 15-6 in an MIAC volleyball match on Saturday.

St. Olaf jumped to a 6-2 lead in the decisive fifth set and cruised to a 15-6 victory for the win.

Ariel Carlson added 14 kills and eight digs in the win, while Kelly Prunty had 45 assists.

Colleen Ourada and Katie Christensen led the Auggies in kills with 15 and 13, while Emily McCourt had 36 assists for the team.

After winning the first set, St. Olaf (18-4, 5-1 MIAC) led the second 19-15 before Augsburg went on a 10-2 run to tie the match at one set apiece.

The Oles rallied to a 9-2 start and won the third set, but the Auggies (13-12, 3-3 MIAC) rebounded to even the match with a 25-11 win in the fourth.

St. Olaf competes next at Saint Mary's University on Wednesday.
