BLAINE, Minn. - Hamline University topped the St. Olaf men's hockey team 3-2 in final round of the MIAC Showcase on Sunday at Fogerty Arena.

St. Olaf (1-1-0) fell behind 2-0, but tied the game in the second period on goals from Cam Severson and Austin Wetmore.

Chris Berenguer, who assisted on the game's first goal, then scored the game-winner at the 4:50 mark of the third period to give the Pipers the victory.

Each team collected 25 shots, but Hamline held a 10-3 advantage in the decisive third period.

The Oles had their chance on the power play -- drawing eight extra-man situations -- but came up empty. Hamline was also scoreless on the power play, going 0-for-3.

St. Olaf plays two non-conference road games against MIAC foes next weekend with a games at St. Thomas on Friday and at Saint Mary's on Saturday.
