Women's basketball upends St. Catherine

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Mackenzie Wolter had 16 points and six assists and Kirstee Rotty 13 points to lead St. Olaf to a 66-59 MIAC women's basketball win over host St. Catherine University on Saturday afternoon at the Butler Center.
Laura Kalbfell had a game-best 22 points for St. Catherine (3-7, 2-5 MIAC) in the loss.
St. Olaf (7-4, 4-4 MIAC) led by eight at the half before going on a run to lead by 15 with 15:26 left. The Oles then went scoreless over the next nine-plus minutes as SCU came within two, at 50-48 with 6:19 left.
Wolter ended the scoreless streak with a pair of free throws as the Oles went 17-for-18 from the line, including 10-for-10 in the second half, to seal the win.
St. Olaf plays at Hamline University on Wednesday.
