Auggies top men's hockey in overtime

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Augsburg College claimed a 3-2 overtime men's hockey win over St. Olaf in a non-conference game on Saturday at Northfield Ice Arena.

The overtime game was the Oles' sixth of 2010-11 (0-3-3).

St. Olaf (5-6-3, 0-3-3 MIAC) held a 2-0 lead for most of the game after Derek Grogan and Isak Tranvik picked up first period goals. Jeff Warren assisted on each of the scores.

After a scoreless second period, Augsburg's John Lennartson scored twice in the final 7:05 of the third period to send the game to overtime.

At 1:40 at the extra session, Mario Mjelleli gave the Auggies the win with his even-strength goal on assists from B.J. McClellan and Trevor Doden.
