NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Isak Tranvik had a goal and an assist as the St. Olaf men's hockey team skated past Bethel University 4-2 on Friday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
Tranvik's power-play score at the 4:09 mark of the final period proved to be the game-winner as St. Olaf (8-7-3, 2-4-3 MIAC) won its third in a row.
The host Oles jumped to a 2-0 lead on second period goals from Derek Grogan and Peter Rohn. After Bethel got within one on Jack Paul's score, Tranvik gave St. Olaf a 3-1 lead with his tally on a feed from Charlie Raskob. The assist was Raskob's second of the night.
Nick Krauss made 11 of his 28 saves in the third period to get the win in net for the Oles.
The teams complete the two-game set tomorrow in Blaine.
