Women's basketball loses to Scots

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Macalester College defeated St. Olaf 62-52 in a MIAC women's basketball game on Saturday at Skoglund Center.

Shannon and Jessica Rene had 16 points each to lead the Scots (8-13, 8-10 MIAC), who led 29-16 in the first half. Jessica Rene was 4-for-5 from the arc and the Scots 7-for-18 as a team. St. Olaf made only 3-of-18 in the loss.

Mackenzie Wolter had 17 points to lead St. Olaf (10-11, 7-11 MIAC), which was a dismal 11-for-23 from the line for the game and shot just 25.9 percent (7-for-27) from the floor in the first half.

Erin Haglund added 12 points in the loss for St. Olaf, which travels to Saint Mary's University on Wednesday.
