Ole women get wins from Weiss, Beardsley, 400 MR at MIAC's

MINNEAPOLIS - Alli Beardsley and Meghan Weiss picked up individual wins for St. Olaf on Thursday in first of three days of the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

The Oles also won the 400 Medley Relay -- with Carolyn Bernhardt, Lindsey Lee, Lydia Feldman and Meghan Weiss -- in a school record 3:53.54 in a NCAA B cut time of 3:53.54.

Bernhardt's backstroke to lead off the relay is also a school record (57.86).

Beardsley's time of 2:07.15 in the finals of the 200 IM to win the event is also a school record, and is a NCAA B cut time.

Weiss won the 500 Free with a mark of 5:05.48, which was four seconds faster than her preliminary time earlier in the day.

St. Olaf is second as a team through the first round.
