Ole women's nordic team wins USCSA combined title

SUN VALLEY, Idaho - Hillary Boyce was second overall and Sarah Fleming third as the St. Olaf women's nordic skiing team was first of seven teams at the United States Collegiate Skiing and Snowboarding Association (USCSA) Championships over the weekend.

Boyce was second in the 15K freestyle and third in both the 1.5K sprint and the 8.5K classic races during the week.

Flemming was second in the 1.5K sprint and fourth in the classic and freestyle.

St. Olaf (39 points) won each of the four events to take the team title handily over second place Clarkson (67).

St. Olaf held off Clarkson and the club teams from Whitman College for the President's Cup, which combines men's and women's alpine and nordic. St. Olaf was fourth in men's alpine, fourth in women's alpine, second in men's nordic and first in women's nordic. Clarkson was ninth, 15th, third and second while the club teams from Whitman were 10th, fifth, eighth and third.
