Women's soccer stays perfect with 2-0 win over Saints

MOORHEAD, Minn. - Dani Larson's goal in the 69th minute broke a scoreless tie to help St. Olaf to a 2-0 women's soccer win over St. Scholastica in the second and final day of the Concordia Invitational on Sunday.

Larson's goal, her team-leading third of the year, came on an assist from Lindsay Howard.

The Oles (4-0-0, 0-0-0 MIAC) added an insurance goal at 82:43 on Taylor Kuramoto's first career tally on a feed from Rachael Stets.

Nora Forbes made three saves to earn her first shutout victory of 2011. The Saints' Molly Bergmann made nine saves in a losing effort.

St. Olaf held a 15-6 advantage in shots and had eight corner kicks to four for CSS.

The Oles open MIAC play on Wednesday with a home match against Gustavus Adolphus College at 4 p.m.
