WAVERLY, Iowa - Molly Knutson was seventh overall (tie) with a two-day 156 (+12) to lead St. Olaf to a second place team finish at the Wartburg Fall Invitational at Centennial Oaks Golf Club.

The team's 631 strokes over the two-day event broke the school record by 20 strokes.

Knutson's 156 strokes for the 36-hold event and her first round 77 were each career bests. Each rank third in school history.

St. Olaf was just two strokes off host Wartburg's winning pace. The event featured four MIAC schools, two from the WIAC, nine from the IIAC and a handful of NAIA and junior colleges.

Vanessa Kleckner was next best for Oles, shooting a two-day 159 for a 15th place nod. The career-best tourney was helped by Sunday's 78 for Kleckner, also a career best.

Molly Erickson (78-83) and Linde Sundell (82-79) each finished with two-day 161's (+18) and Maxine Carlson was 21st with a 162 (76-86, +19).

St. Olaf competes next at the Division III Midwest Classic on Saturday and Sunday at The Jewel in Lake City, Minn.
