MINNEAPOLIS - The St. Olaf football team is ranked No. 24 in the latest D3football.com Top 25 poll, as the Oles are in the rankings for the first time since the 2007 season.

St. Olaf (5-1, 3-1 MIAC) has won three in a row since dropping its MIAC opener to No. 3 St. Thomas. The Oles play at Augsburg College on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Three MIAC teams are in the Top 25. Aside from St. Olaf and UST, which is still at the No. 3 spot, Bethel University is ranked 10th. St. Olaf topped Bethel 30-28 on Oct. 1.

The Oles just missed cracking the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 this week receiving 60 votes in the poll, which is 26th.

With the football team in the Top 25, six of the Oles' eight fall sports have been ranked at some point this season: women's golf (No. 10), women's cross country (No. 12), women's soccer (No. 22) and men's cross country (No. 25).

The Ole men's soccer team (12-2-1) could also see the Top 25 this week, as the Oles have won four straight and are coming off a win over No. 21 Augsburg last Wednesday and a victory over Macalester on Saturday.
