Oles make it two in a row with win at Macalester

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Katie Wolfram had 10 kills and Maggie Prunty nine as St. Olaf picked up a three-set MIAC volleyball win at Macalester College on Wednesday night.

Ari Carlson added eight kills on 19 attempts, hitting .316, in the victory which was the Oles' second straight. Prunty made only one error in her 15 attempts to hit .533.

St. Olaf needed to come back from a 24-22 deficit in the first set. Carlson had two kills and the Scots two errors as the Oles took the last four points of the set to win 26-24.

St. Olaf (12-14, 3-7 MIAC) then took 25-18 and 25-16 decisions in the final two sets.

Macalester was led by Laura Avena's 10 kills.

The Oles finish the 2011 campaign with a home match against Carleton on Saturday at 3 p.m.
