St. Olaf women's hockey ties UW-Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT, Wis.- A night after falling to the UW-Stevens Point 4-2, the St. Olaf women's hockey team tied the Pointers 1-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Kirsten Latta scored a power-play goal early in the third period to put the Oles ahead 1-0. Latta's goal was assisted by Alex Meyer.

UW-Stevens Point tied the game at 1-1 at the 17:25 mark of the third period. Michelle Lunneborg scored an even-strength goal off an assist from Chelsea Pomeroy.

The Oles outshot the Pointers 34-32 for the game. Goalie Sam Ubl made 31 saves for St. Olaf, while UW-Stevens Point goalie Janna Beilke-Skoug kept out 33 Ole shots.
