Lynch is MIAC's defensive player of the week

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf linebacker Wes Lynch was named the MIAC's defensive player of the week after compiling 18 tackles in the Oles' last-second loss at Saint John's on Saturday.

Lynch had 12 solo takedowns, 1.5 tackles for a loss and a quarterback hurry. He leads the MIAC with 55 solo tackles this season and is third in total tackles with 90. He also has 9.5 tackles-for-a-loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and a blocked kick to his credit.

St. Olaf closes its season on Saturday with a home game against Concordia College-Moorhead at 1 p.m.
