Women's swimming defeated by Gustavus Adolphus

ST. PETER, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's swimming and diving team lost to Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday by 22 points. The Oles scored 139 points to the Gusties' 161.

The Ole women won eight events in the dual meet.

The team's top performers included Lydia Feldman, Carolyn Bernhardt, Lindsay Lee, Meghan Weiss and Lauren Snyder.

Feldman had individual wins the 100 and 200 yard butterfly events.

Bernhardt won the 100 yard backstroke and was second in the 200 yard backstroke, while Lee won the 200 yard breaststroke and was second in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Weiss got first in the 100 and 200 yard freestyle events and was second in the 500 yard freestyle. And Snyder won the 1000 yard freestyle.

The Oles compete next on Dec. 2 at the Falcon Invitational in Minneapolis. Diving competes next Saturday at the Roger Ahlman Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
