Men's cross country finishes 23rd at NCAA's

WINNECONNE, Wis.- The St. Olaf men's cross country team finished 23rd at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday at the Lake Breeze Golf Club, hosted by UW-Oshkosh.

The Oles were led by first year Grant Wintheiser's 80th place in a time of 25:09.14. Sophomore Brian Saksa finished 140th in 25:33.30. Rounding out the final three times for St. Olaf were Tim Lillehaugen (146th, 25:35.50), Josh Wold (150th, 25:36.64), and Pat Boland (200th, 25:38.67). The Oles' sixth and seventh runners were Anders Nienstaedt (188th, 25:53.44) and John Christian (225th, 26:05.13).

As a team, St. Olaf came in 23rd with 505 points. North Central in Illinois won the meet with 110 points. Of the Central Region teams, St. Olaf was third behind Hamline University (17th) and Nebraska Wesleyan University (21st).
