Oles complete comeback with OT goal to beat Cards

WINONA, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's hockey team capped a four-goal rally, erasing a 4-1 deficit, capped by Tara Reyelts' score with 37 seconds left in overtime to defeat host Saint Mary's University 5-4 on Friday night.
SMU raced to a 3-0 lead in the opening period before the Oles rallied. Taylor Orr got St. Olaf on the board with her score in the final minute of the first period to cut the SMU lead to 3-1. After another Cardinal goal, the Oles' Margot Fleming and Christina Benjamin scored in the second.
At 4:48 of the third, Alison Umland then evened the game at 4-4 with her goal at on feeds from Kira Clunis and Nicole Stumpf to send the game to the extra session.
The Oles' Sam Ubl earned the win in net. Ubl spelled starter Ali McKeever, who was lifted midway through the first. Ubl made 17 saves, including three in overtime to get the victory.
The teams meet in the series finale tomorrow at 7 p.m. in Northfield.
