Women complete sweep with 3-1 win over Cards

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's hockey team completed an MIAC sweep of Saint Mary's University with a 3-1 victory on Saturday at Northfield Ice Arena.

The Oles (4-3-3, 4-1-1 MIAC) scored twice in a 17-second stretch of the first period -- on goals from Kira Clunis and Margot Fleming -- and never trailed.

SMU got within one on Brittany Therrien's score at 15:38 of the first, but the Oles' Devyn Hotho added an insurance goal in the second minute of the third.

Ali McKeever made 25 saves to get the win in net for the Oles.
