Rotty's double-double helps Oles past Pipers

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Kirstee Rotty had career-highs of 21 points and 12 rebounds as St. Olaf held off Hamline University 76-64 in a MIAC women's basketball game on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.

Mackenzie Wolter added 17 points as she and Rotty combined to go 7-for-12 from the arc in the victory. St. Olaf (6-0, 3-0 MIAC), who raced to a 10-0 advantage and led 47-28 at the break, had 10 points from Sheridan Blanford off the bench.

Kara Poirer led Hamline (2-3, 1-3 MIAC) with 21 points. The Pipers climbed within eight twice, but St. Olaf made its last four free throws to put it out of reach.

St. Olaf hosts Augsburg on Saturday at 1 p.m.
